Job Details Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. This position plays a pivotal role in the company's financial management and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the business. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. CPA certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review corporate tax returns and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
2. Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.
3. Conduct tax research to stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations and to identify tax planning opportunities.
4. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to provide tax-related advice and guidance.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies and policies.
6. Coordinate with tax auditors to provide required information and respond to tax audit inquiries.
7. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
8. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, as needed.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax.
3. Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, tax planning, and tax compliance.
4. Experience in tax research and advisory.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. CPA certification is a plus.
