The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Healthcare is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. Will also serve as a senior business partner to the entire executive team on all people-related matters to ensure the company has the people, processes/systems, and policies necessary to support its strategic and financial goals.
15+ years of HR experience, with at least 5+ years leading HR teams in a hospital/healthcare organization, is required.
Responsibilities :
• Provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team the Board of Directors and the HR Committee of the Board.
• Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the organizations mission and strategic vision.
• Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
• Assist business leaders to develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective for the organization.
• Assist business leaders in evaluating all benefits providers, recommending changes in plans and coverage, as appropriate.
• Provide oversight and direction for Employee and Labor Relations functions within the organization, which is heavily unionized, with managing separate collective bargaining agreements across locations and specialties.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal and compliance requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance, liaise with internal and external Legal Counsel, as needed, on all employment related matters.
• Manage and budget responsibility for the HR systems and benefits across the organization, including planning for future growth.
• Manage the various divisions within the HR Department and be the direct supervisor to the Director-level HR, Talent Acquisition, and Labor Relations employees.
• Lead and inspire our Field and Corporate HR teams.
• Maintain and further develop our people-strategies and programs, including performance management, onboarding, compensation and benefits, retention, headcount planning and analytics, organizational design, policies, employee engagement, training and cultural initiatives.
• Utilize people-related data to aid in strategic decision making and develop key metrics to measure employee engagement, performance and retention.
• Establish new initiatives that help drive our culture by creating programs, tools, and experiences that engage our team at all levels and inspire a positive, adaptive, and accountable culture.
• Build scalable professional development programs that aid in growing our teams’ capabilities, and drive employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications :
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree, Advanced degree preferred.
• Superior communication and team building skills and the ability to negotiate, oversee and manage in a physician practice environment.
• Experience supporting both a salary and hourly workforce, creating relevant and meaningful employee programs, reviews, and feedback loops.
• Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design and implement people strategy that drives business results.
• Demonstrable ability to influence and inspire change with executive teams and across the organization, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth, with an operational focus.
• Strong communicator with the ability to provide both strategic foresight and feedback.
• Strong understanding of employment law, compensation, benefits, organizational development, employee relations, and training.
• Well-developed leadership, communications, team building and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence and stature to effectively address sensitive HR and business issues.
Annual salary for this position is $300,000 - $325,000
