Job Details

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing accounts receivable operations, including billing, collections, and account reconciliation for a regional law firm. Reports directly to the Controller.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process and post client payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording in accounting system
• Manage collections process, including client communications and follow-up on past due accounts
• Reconcile client accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies
• Generate and analyze AR aging reports
• Process electronic payments and bank deposits
• Support month-end close activities related to AR
• Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for general accounting tasks
• Experience with accounting software
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor for client interactions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior law firm or professional services experience
• Experience with legal billing software
• Working knowledge of Excel functions and reporting tools

SCHEDULE:
Full-time, Monday-Friday
37.5 hour work week with flex time!
